Chen Wei

陈维

Chen Wei (b. 1980), a graduate of the China Academy, has had his work shown throughout Asia, and most recently contributed a sound piece to the Serpentine Gallery’s China Power Station, Part I, at the Battersea Power Station in London.

Chen Wei’s favorite saying is, “Memory is knowledge; from your memories you find gnosis.” His images are narratives that carry into a deeper realm of context and make us question what is going on in the captured moment of an ostensibly ongoing drama.
